- Supercell, the creator of Clash of Clans and Clash Royale, introduced three new games set in the Clash universe today.
- The games are called Clash Quest, Clash Mini, and Clash Heroes.
- The new games are currently in development and haven’t been officially launched yet.
Supercell, best known for its mobile games Clash of Clans and Clash Royale, today announced plans to expand that fantasy universe in a big way.
The games include Clash Quest, a turn-based tactical adventure game; Clash Mini, a virtual board game where you build teams of adorable miniatures; and Clash Heroes, a co-op action roleplaying game.
The three games will be completely different from previous titles made by the Finnish game development company. They’re still in early development, but players will get to see familiar characters from Clash of Clans and Clash Royale in them.
Supercell in a blog post announced that:
The three new games are “nothing like prior Clash games.” The company also wants to broaden Clash to new players who haven’t experienced it before. The new games are currently in development and haven’t been officially launching yet. Supercell wants to offer new ways of playing Clash and hopes these games add to your current gaming experience.
“We are not trying to recreate ‘Call of Duty’ on mobile,” Pearsall said. “We are trying to create a mobile-appropriate gaming experience, content that (players) can engage in more bite-sized chunks.”
The first game, Clash Quest, is a turn-based, tactical, adventure-strategy game where players send out troops on a grid-based map to fight enemies on an opposing map. Individuals can attack their own, but combining groups of similar troops can be used for a more powerful effect.
The second, Clash Heroes, is a top-down action-adventure game that gives off light-hearted Diablo vibes. Clash Heroes is perhaps the most exciting game of the three titles.
Clash Mini is an auto battler game that’s simple to play but still offers strategic depth. Players must compete in this board game using “miniatures” of real characters from the Clash universe, which is where the game’s name comes from.
